week 2 post 3

This week was  extremely eye-opening to the issue of public policy,  health, and the child welfare system. it really helped me to see how I can use writing  to elevate the voices of people in these situations so that their issues and struggles may be heard.  personally never have been through any of this it really shocks me that people have gone through this and so I feel that I personally shouldn't be speaking for them rather I should be working with them to get the change that they need.

questions I have are:  I know that later and this course I'm going to have to report on things and so I'm wondering if they're going to talk more about reporting in a an appropriate Manner and if there is an issue that Roosevelts  students care about and if I can use this class to further help my community? my other question is how many people in Des Moines have been through the struggle and how many people in my community have been through this struggle without me even being aware?
