week 3 post 3

This week's learning with super interesting for me because it really got me thinking about what I wanted to write about and it taught me a lot more about the prison system which I personally didn't know a lot about.  it also talked a lot about the significance of how you tell a story which was cool because I was able to watch someone act out the same story in a different way and it was really cool how different that same story impacted me when acted out in different ways. 

 So for my public policy pitch I'm working on the topic of the poverty line in schools and how the struggle and discrimination impact student success rates and so I'm kind of wondering what that looks like in Des Moines Public Schools and what my community can do to help these people in what I can do 2 work with these people to  support further opportunity?
